My name is Misha Kleider. I first got into filmmaking because it seemed like a great way to share the fascinating things I was learning in school––I have a BA in philosophy and a masters in education from UBC. My first documentary served as my film school. The film featured me as I left my privileged student life to live homeless on the streets for a month–starting out in just my underwear. We sold the film to network television and this encouraged me to make another one. My next film was a short film about a hustler in a small town in Africa. It won best short film at the Vancouver Short Film Fest. I have a youtube channel called Epiphany where I share epiphanies in philosophy, spirituality and ecology. You can check it out here!.
